GEYC : Group of the European youth for change

I can’t believe that my GEYexperience as a New media ambassador is coming to an end,  the team was amazing and everything went as expected and even better than expected regarding some tasks . Group work is something that I highly recommend, needless to say when it is about working in a multicultural team  with amazing managers like Gabriel and Diana .

The tasks aren’t hard and the internship is accessible to anyone , add to that the fact that it is an online internship which means it will only take of your time  around 10 to 15 hours per weeks and you’ll be doing the tasks from the comfort of your couch .
Meanwhile we are having a contest running for a while now , which is pretty simple
FIND ( one of our resources here
TEST it on your laptop of phone
give us a feedback in a comment  (here)

And you can WIN a prize (the names of  the Winners will be announced on our fanpage)

NOTE : the applications are open for the 4th and 5th edition of the internship . Take a look and give it a chance . you won’t regret it

Out of My comfort zone : A Secret Paradise

As Ibn batutta said " travelling leaves you speechless then turns you into a storyteller
I believe that my Trip to England left me speechless for  over a  year or so , I had what we call an overwhelming experience  that left me unable to express myself through words instead I was just posting pictures of the places i visited but I  believe that it is high time to write about it now.

In 2012 I decided to travel abroad for the very First time  away from my home country and away from my continent . In my home University I m majoring  in English language , civilization and   Literature so England  was a perfect and interesting  Destination  for me because it will benefit me educationally and culturally add to that the fun i can get from being in a cosmopolitan area.

My main Destination was Worthing , West sussex but I had the chance to visit London for 3 days (separately) , those days ranged from visiting Buckingham Palace ,  Oxford street , the British museum , the London eye to visiting Convent Garden market and streets  and Neal's yard which happened to be my favorite spot in central London . I visited Uxbridge (the home of Brunel University) for a couple of hours but i haven't seen much of it .

Me and my  group arrived to Heathrow Airport Late on the afternoon of September 15th , 2012 a Taxi was waiting for us to take us to our main destination .
The following day we visited London for the First time , we woke up early to take the  train to London Victoria ,  it was a planned day visit ; we had  the chance to see  the changing of the Guards In front of Buckingham palace  , the British museum with its surreal amount of history stuffed inside of its walls and Covent Garden with its street performers and market  .

As soon as i was able to split from the group I  went to explore what i call now  my Favorite spot "Neal's yard"  you might want to know what's special about it , well the Atmosphere of the yard is so relaxed it has a hippie and spiritual flavor that i always look for , So  in order to get to Neal's yard i had to go down the same road several times without noticing the narrow alleyways that leads to this sort of secret Garden, even though i asked a lot of Locals to show me the way their answers were all negative until i stumbled on the right alleyway by myself   , As soon as I set foot in the yard I was  overwhelmed  with the Zen-attitude that the colors bring to my mind and being.  It has a bunch of cool Pubs and restaurants and i happened to find a North African Restaurant which was Great  to satisfy my tummy  haha! the existence of unconventional  meeting rooms, a bookshop ,a hairdresser ,a wholefood shop and  alternative therapy rooms  accentuate the Zen-attitude .  All in all Neal's yard can be considerate as an Alternative and healthy place away from the hassle and bustle of central London or as   "a discreet little heaven in the center of London" other than that visiting the yard was a blast  after a long day of educational and cultural visits.

Neal’s Yard is three minutes away  from Covent Garden tube station (on your right you'll find street performers and the market , on your left you'll find an attractive colorful building follow that way until you reach  Neal street and consequently  Neal's yard ) and five minutes from Leicester Tube station I  will leave you now with few pictures and if you have any inquiries or questions feel free to contact me .

Out of my comfort zone: Worthing September 2012

Its been almost 2 years since i didn't "long in" to my blog and it seems kinda weird !
2 years without publishing anything !

Let's get back on track and start this article with a quote  " traveling __ Leaves you speechless , then turns you into a storyteller . -Ibn batuta-

Here is my Worthing , Uk experience . (September 2012)

I'll leave you with a Poem that i already wrote a couple of months ago ,tonight, until I write another article about my Whole experience in England.

For worthing

worthing i'm homesick and torn
can someone be homesick to a place other than his real home town ?
Missing your roads
Missing your winds when it blows
Taking a stroll down the Pier
Even late at night i had no fear
Missing your restaurants and pubs
Yearning to spend a Saturday night at club ten
Or a Friday evening at forty two rock pub
Missing you like hell;
That's why i'm holding a paper and a pen
Trying to write about you with what i can
Trying to make people see the beauty that i saw in you and be a fan
They say " home is where the heart is" ;
I want to say this
I'm writing this for you
To every corner I've been to
From Lyndhurst Road to the Dome
From West park to the Ocean's foam
All i can do is bow
To you in wow
Keep on remembering you as i grow
You are a part of me wherever i go
I left my heart near homefield park,
While strolling in the dark.
Your nights are calm and bright .
I want to take the next flight and be in your arms by daylight.

All about Tu'Lds ? no , what happened in Tu'Lds stays in Tu'Lds

I never thought i'll be able to make it , i did the impossible to be there
i made it in the last moment

me with the company of Huda and Marwa in the train

Tu'Lds is not just a seminar , Tu'Lds is an amazing opportunity to see your old friends ,to meet new ones , to work hard and to party harder .
It feels like it's all about this seminar , fortunately i made it in the second day

Just got to Tunis , waiting for the Bus to take us to Bizert "Jalta club"
As soon as  we get there we did our check in
and guess what?
i checked in with two amazing trainees Maya and Melissa

After checking in ,  the surprises just started , i've seen my Algerian bro Coyot "Mohamed rahmani "

then my dear Amine Mizouri from LC hadrumet

and so on ...
after that we had the MC café
and the waiters are ....

the MC & the FACIs themselves
Such amazing waiters that you'll never see anywhere else

Later on that night

I spent My first night with Marcella , Fawez, Bilel et Imrane in the "Moorish café"
(my first night suppose to be the second night for those who went to the conference from the start  )

the following day was  the " external day  "
where two of the Partners of  AIESEC in Tunisia
held two sessions each one lasted for like 3 hours

Cepex session
and workshops

thanks guys , this workshop wasn't really my cup of tea , i wasn't really in  but it was inspiring and delightful  to see the ideas of  my fellow AIESEC'ers , it was the beginning of the path for me to get interested in the Cepex thing in particular and in the IT in general

The chair & the FACIs during the workshops of Cepex

then we had the AMIDEAST session & workshops
it was like brainstorming with the team than sharing our ideas with  the whole plenary

 Later on ...
we had a break of two hours

 we found out that the
the previous MCP (President of AIESEC in Tunisia for the term 2009/2010) has joined us
in the last night of the conference

the guys had the chance to play soccer together
and the girls had enough time to prepare themselves for the official Dinner

the Algerian delegation with the company of me and Fawez
enjoying the Official Dinner

After the official diner , time to take photos with some unforgettable people

Later on that night we had the international reports and talent show

then i spent the rest of the night with the company of many amazing people in the " Moorish café " as well

in the last day of the conference i wasn't able to stay for the sessions
since i have to leave Bizert early to get back home in time
but  at least i witnessed the punishment

roll call in the sea

to sum up , i spent 48 amazing hours with  the company of awesome people
it's inspiring and delighting
i'll never forget those great moments that i spent with  the company of the Algerian delegation
as well as with the Italian delegation and everyone else ...

but as i said in the beginning "what happened in Tu'Lds stays in Tu'Lds"
because what i just wrote isn't enough to describe those 48hours
